David Callahan, Ph.D., is a defense industry executive, retired senior military officer, and Founder & Managing Member of Vulcan Defense Solutions. With more than 30 years of leadership experience, Dr. Callahan has successfully led large organizations, managed complex defense logistics and sustainment operations, and partnered with government, military, and industry stakeholders to deliver mission-ready solutions in support of the U.S. defense industrial base.
Throughout his career, Dr. Callahan has directed more than 4,000 personnel while overseeing annual budgets exceeding $40 million. His expertise spans defense logistics, contingency operations, supply chain management, and organizational transformation. He is recognized for leading high-accountability programs, managing complex distributed systems, and building cross-functional teams that consistently deliver operational excellence in demanding government and defense environments.
Dr. Callahan holds a Ph.D. in Leadership, Research & Policy, a Master of Military Arts and Science, and an MBA. His military honors include the Legion of Merit and three Bronze Star Medals for service during Operations Desert Storm and Iraqi Freedom.

Christine Callahan is a Member of Vulcan Defense Solutions, where she supports business operations, organizational development, corporate growth, and strategic business development initiatives.
An accomplished executive and entrepreneur with more than 15 years of experience, Christine has successfully built and managed businesses, led multi-million-dollar revenue portfolios, developed long-term partnerships across commercial and government markets, and identified new opportunities that drive sustainable growth. Her expertise includes strategic planning, business development, operational management, customer relationship management, and process improvement.
Christine is dedicated to supporting Vulcan's mission of delivering responsive, reliable, and mission-focused solutions to the U.S. Government and defense industry.
